Central Documentation Centre
(CDC)

Last year we were bereaved of two of our dearest comrades and leaders, Com. Vinod Mishra and Com. Nagbhushan Patnaik. We are making an effort to put together and share with people the innumerable scattered facets of their lives and struggle. Central Documentation Centre is an institution which has been started by the CPI(ML) to collect relevant and useful material from various sources including institutions and friends. The CDC is an entirely non-commercial venture, which aims at preparing documents of contemporary relevance that could serve as sources of inspiration for people engaged in democratic and revolutionary struggles, not only in India, but also the world over. In the first phase of our mission, we have decided to begin with collection of the following material relating to the life and struggle of Com. Vinod Mishra and Com. Nagbhushan Patnaik:

  1. Published/unpublished writings, letters, interviews and responses to events.
  2. All Video recordings. (from various TV, companies and Video agencies)
  3. VHS tapes, audio cassettes, video cassettes (from friends, activists, professional collectors.)
  4. Photographs, Negatives (Black and White/Coloured). Photographs printed in Newspapers/Magazines etc.

We appeal to you to make available to us at the earliest any of this material which is in your personal/institutional possession. There is no doubt that this is a prized collection which you personally treasure, yet you will certainly be one with us that this grand mission cannot be completed without your generous co-operation. We would very much appreciate any suggestions or ideas from your side to enrich our efforts. Since the 52nd birthday of Com. Vinod Mishra falls on 24th March. We plan to collect important articles and interviews as by 28 Feb for the volume of his collected works to be released on this day.
